Garge Sale @ Pecan street Nursing Home

hey just want to let you guys know I saw a sign saying that the Pecan Street Nursing Home (near the Pecan Street Pre-school so many of you guys use for you kids) will be having a garage sale tmw (JULY 23). not so sure how good the stuff might be AS IS, but this might be a great optortunity to find some cheap frames, or dressers or lamps to take home and RE-furnish into something you would love. Or... if could just be a lot of lame junk... you never know.

$1 books @ The Book Box

"The Book Box" store is going out of business and ALL this week (STARTING TUE - SAT) ALL their books (no matter how old, thick, or popular they are) are going to all be priced for just a buck!
even if you don't want it for the reading you should really think about buying them for book-crafts. it's only $1 and anytime I can do a holiday craft that is under $5 I'm really happy. you can do ALL kinds of holiday crafts with books, just google or email me (lol) if you need to get inspired.
for example I'm going in to buy old leather/fabric bound books so I can paint them up black, put gold titles on them and use them as decorations for Halloween. I'm really excited about it cause old leather books are really pricy to come by $15-$45 at least.

Beth's book store, "the Book Box" on 15803 Windermere Dr is going out of business! they are going to have ALL books 50% off this week! they are already priced pretty-cheap books so it's a really great deal! I'm excited to go out and dig thru the kids books. (kids books are going to be about .50 cents! I'm so excited!) but they've got all kinds of great stuff there for everyone!

lotsa Cedar chips - FREE

A family in Westlake has been clearing their property in preparation to build, and has TONS of Cedar chips from the cedar trees onsite. She encouraged me to tell all my friends to bring big trucks and take as much as they want. We're hoping to go out there tonight to get a truckload for our garden paths and other things we want to mulch. Her listing is on Craigslist - Free. I've got the address and directions for anyone interested. Just bring boxes or bags and fill 'em up!
