Bowling Follow Up

So I took my niece and EZ bowling at interstate lanes on Saturday and it was awesome. They pretty much have free lanes all day everyday and you dont have to print off the bowling coupon like I thought. You can just go in and they will give you a punch card type thing. Also the shoe rental is $1.50 for kids 12 and under and $3.00 for adults, not $1.50 for everyone like I thought when I posted last time. Still totally worth it though.

Free Bowling at Interstate Lanes

I recently found out that Interstate Lanes on 35 in Round Rock has their own summer free bowling for kids program. Any school age kid K-12 can print off a bowling pass at their website and use it for 1 free game everyday. It says during "open bowling" and I couldn't tell for sure on the website when that is exactly so you would have to call and check. The best part is that shoe rental there is only $1.50 so this is definitely a better deal then driving down to that 300 place. The website is interstatelanes.net.

Free Slurpies at 7-Eleven

In honor of today being 7/11, 7-eleven is giving out 7.11oz slurpees at participating locations. Not the biggest slurpee I know, but hey it's a free cool treat, which can only help in this heat!

Get paid for plasma donation

BioLife Plasma (www.biolifeplasma.com) will pay anywhere from $55 to $85 a week for plasma.

You can make 2 visits every 7 days. The first visit they pay $20 ($30 on a priority day). You can go again 2 days later and then they pay the rest. Right now the program is running based on a month. The first week will get you $55, the second $65, and the third and fourth weeks will pay $75, plus $10 extra if it's priority day. They will give you a debit card that they credit every time you donate.

A note. If your first visit is on a Wednesday then you can't come the next week for your first visit until Wednesday, because you can't have more than 2 visits in 7 days. So I recommend getting in on a Monday for your first visit then your second one can be anytime from Wed. to Sat.

Each visit takes about 45 minutes to an hour and a half. It just depends on how fast your blood pumps through, which is more about how much water you drank in the last 24 hours. They have a great childcare room. I take my 2 little girls (2 and 4) and they play with dolls, the pretend kitchen, watch movies, color, and paint. Two sweet little old ladies work in there and the girls love them now.

You will need to call and schedule a first visit/physical and donation. The physical isn't really a physical it's a lot of questions about your health and whether you do anything (tattoos, drugs, etc.) that would make your plasma unusable. Once that's finished (about an hour) you can go donate (about another hour). The first 2 visits you have to call and schedule, after that you can do it all online.

So if you're looking for away to make a little extra money, this is a great way to do it for only a couple hours a week.

If you have questions, let me know.
